Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use elevationsportandperformance.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the website you agree to this policy.

Who We Are

Elevation Sport & Performance Consulting, LLC (referred to in this policy as “Elevation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Colorado-based sport and performance consulting practice founded by Dr. Mike Berrebi, Ph.D., LPC. Our website address is https://elevationsportandperformance.com. This Privacy Policy applies to that website. Clinical counseling services are governed separately by HIPAA-compliant practice agreements provided to clients at intake.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you submit our contact form, request a consultation, or email us, we collect the information you choose to provide. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the website, certain information is collected automatically through standard web technologies. This includes your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location based on IP. We use this information for security, site performance, and analytics.

Comments

If commenting is enabled on a post and you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized hash of your email address may be sent to Gravatar to display a profile picture. If your comment is approved, that picture is visible alongside the comment.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Respond to inquiries and requests for consultation.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Communicate updates relevant to a service or inquiry you initiated.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their independent marketing.

Cookies and Tracking

The website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate normally and to understand traffic patterns. Cookies on this site generally fall into three categories:

  • Essential cookies that are required for the site to function, including session and security cookies.
  • Preference cookies that remember choices you have made, such as login information if you have an admin account.
  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site in aggregate.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as expected without them.

Third Party Services

We use the following third party services that may collect or process data on our behalf:

  • Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit), for traffic measurement and reporting. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare, for security, content delivery, and email obfuscation. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • WPForms, the plugin that processes contact form submissions.
  • Our website host, which stores website data and server logs.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies. Where required, an automated spam detection service may review visitor submissions.

Embedded Content

Pages and posts on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, and social posts. Embedded content from other sites behaves the same as if you had visited that site directly. Those sites may collect data about you, set cookies, embed additional third party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking that interaction if you are logged in to that site.

Media and Uploaded Images

If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading files with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as visitors can download and extract that data from images.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions and inquiry emails are retained for as long as needed to respond to your message and for a reasonable follow up period, typically up to 24 months, unless a longer retention period is required by law or by the development of a professional relationship. Server logs and aggregated analytics are retained for the periods set by the relevant third party providers (commonly 14 months for Google Analytics).

If commenting is enabled and you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata may be retained indefinitely so that we can recognize and approve any follow up comments automatically. Registered users (administrators only on this site) can see, edit, or delete their personal profile information at any time, except their username.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of that information.
  • Opt out of analytics tracking.
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA and CPRA), including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by these laws. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.

Children’s Privacy

We work with athletes of many ages, including youth and high school athletes. The website itself is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. Inquiries on behalf of a minor athlete should be submitted by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the website, contact us and we will delete it.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected through the website, including secure hosting, encrypted form submissions, and access controls. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Clinical Communications

Communications related to professional counseling or consulting services take place through HIPAA-compliant channels (a secure client portal, encrypted email, or a telehealth platform) that are separate from this website. Please do not include protected health information, diagnoses, or detailed clinical content in website contact forms or general email.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
